Job Summary
Conduct night shift critical care float pool duties, managing adult patients including kidney, liver, lung, and heart transplant cases. Provide IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and ventilator management while floating to Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, MICU, Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, and SICU based on staffing needs. Maintain Ohio or compact licensure, complete required pre-employment modules, and submit lab results within 48 hours of signing. This assignment includes every other weekend rotation, 14 days maximum time off, and a 17-week contract starting October 2026.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 22 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience
- Experience with Epic
- Ohio license or compact license
- Flu vaccination
- 6 months gap between for Any Contract Type at Program: Aya Program - Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center
- no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center
- Teaching hospital experience
- IV Start
- Telemetry
- Ventilator management experience
- Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- Registered license
- 1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years
- 1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years
- Proof of identification
