Job Summary
Conduct night shift critical care float pool duties across Trauma, Oncology, Cardiac, Neurology, Medicine, and COVID units. Perform ICU coverage with 2:1 ratio, float to inpatient floors at 1:3 ratio, and serve as patient sitter when needed. Manage patient care requiring BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and CCRN competencies, including vent management, IV starts, tele, conscious sedation, and cardiac skills like Swans and vasoactive drips. Complete required pre-employment modules and labs within 48 hours. Submit time off requests at application and coordinate scheduling directly with the manager upon starting the 13-week assignment.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience
- Travel experience
- Missouri license or compact license
- 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - BJC Health System
- no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - BJC Health System
- 1 year CV ICU experience
- Vents
- IV start
- Tele
- conscious sedation
- Every other weekend required
- 6 weekend shifts per 6 week scheduled

- 2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 2 years
- Proof of identification required
- BLS (Basic Life Support)

- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)
- ONS (Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider)

- OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Epic
- Trauma Level 1 experience
- Cardiac skill set: Swans-hemodynamic interpretation, IABP, Impella, ECMO, and vasoactive drips
- CRRT experience
- Triage, ICP, and PA lines
