Job Summary

Float to Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, MICU, Cardiology, CVICU, and NCCU within the OSU organization, managing adult patients including kidney, liver, lung, and heart transplant cases. Perform IV starts, telemetry, and ventilator management while floating to units of equivalent or lower acuity. Maintain 12-hour day shifts across weekend and weekday rotations with a maximum 14-day time-off limit. Submit lab documentation within 48 hours of signing and complete required pre-employment modules. This assignment supports the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center's critical care float pool, requiring 22 months of float experience and Epic proficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
  • 22 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience
  • Travel experience
  • Experience with Epic
  • Ohio license or compact license
  • 6 months gap required between for Any Contract Type at Program: Aya Program - Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center
  • IV start, telemetry, and ventilator management experience
  • Teaching hospital experience
  • Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
  • References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years
  • You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing
  • 1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years
  • 1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years
  • Proof of identification required
  • Float to Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs/SICU, Medical ICUs (MICU x2), Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, and NCCU within the OSU organization as needed
  • Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity
  • 14 days maximum time off
  • Start assignment restriction: 7 days
