Job Summary
Float to Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs, Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, and NCCU within the OSU organization as needed. Manage adult patients including kidney, liver, lung, and heart transplant cases with IV starts, telemetry, and ventilator support. Complete labs within 48 hours of signing and maintain a 12-hour day shift schedule with weekend coverage. Requires 22 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience, Ohio licensure, and travel history.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 22 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience
- Travel experience
- Experience with Epic
- Ohio license or compact license
- 6 months gap required between for Any Contract Type at Program: Aya Program - Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center
- IV start, telemetry, and ventilator management experience
- Teaching hospital experience
- Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- Weekend day shifts plus 1 shift during the week
- Float to Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs/SICU, Medical ICUs (MICU x2), Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, and NCCU within the OSU organization as needed
- Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity
- 14 days maximum time off
- Start assignment restriction: 7 days
- 1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years
- 1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years
- Proof of identification
