Job Summary
Conduct critical care float duties across Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs, Cardiology, CVICU, and NCCU within the OSU organization, managing adult patients including transplant cases. Perform IV starts, telemetry, and ventilator management while floating to units of equivalent or lower acuity. Maintain Ohio licensure and complete pre-employment modules within 48 hours of signing. Requires 22 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience, Epic proficiency, and travel history. Submit references covering one year of specialty experience and include a Charge/Lead reference from the past two years.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 22 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience
- Travel experience
- Experience with Epic
- Ohio license or compact license
- 6 months gap required between for Any Contract Type at Program: Aya Program - Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center
- IV start, telemetry, and ventilator management experience
- Teaching hospital experience
- Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years
- You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing
- 1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years
- 1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years
- Proof of identification required
- Float to Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs/SICU, Medical ICUs (MICU x2), Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, and NCCU within the OSU organization as needed
- Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity
- 14 days maximum time off
- Start assignment restriction: 7 days
