Job Summary
Float across Critical Care units in Boise, Meridian, and Nampa, titrating drips and interpreting telemetry as needed. Provide 1:1 sitter coverage and manage patient ratios ranging from 1:1 in ICU to 1:5 in MedSurg. Travel exclusively to facilities located over 50 miles from your residence, with assignments provided via app one hour before shift start. Float mid-shift or at any time within your specialty, with weekends required and no call rotation. Submit to the program only if you have no current placement at St. Luke's Health System and maintain a 12-month gap from that employer.
Required Qualifications
- 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years
- Travel experience
- Idaho license or compact license
- 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke's Health System
- No current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke's Health System
- Live >50 miles from facility
- Previous travel experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- Driver's license
- Weekends as needed
- Float assignments across Boise, Meridian, and Nampa
- RN float only within their specialty
- Float mid-shift or at any time during the shift to different units and facilities as needed
- 1:1 sitter in any area as needed
- ICU, ER, Tele, and PICU assignments require reading and interpreting telemetry
- May be required to titrate drips in ICU, ER, Tele, MedSurg, and PICU
- MedSurg commonly uses insulin drips
- 14 days maximum time off
- Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 3 years
