Job Summary
Conduct critical care float pool duties across Boise, Meridian, and Nampa, with assignments potentially requiring mid-shift floating to different units or facilities. Provide patient care in ICU, ER, MedSurg, Tele, and PICU settings using Epic, including titrating drips and interpreting telemetry as needed. Maintain 1:1 to 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratios depending on the unit, with weekends available as required. This travel-only role requires a 24-month critical care float pool background, Idaho licensure, and BLS/ACLS certification, with a maximum 14-day time off allowance.
Required Qualifications
- 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years
- Travel experience
- Idaho license or compact license
- 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke's Health System
- No current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke's Health System
- Live >50 miles from facility
- Previous travel experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- Driver's license
- Weekends as needed
- Float assignments across Boise, Meridian, and Nampa
- RN float only within their specialty
- Float mid-shift or at any time during the shift to different units and facilities as needed
- 1:1 sitter in any area as needed
- ICU, ER, Tele, and PICU assignments require reading and interpreting telemetry
- May be required to titrate drips in ICU, ER, Tele, MedSurg, and PICU
- MedSurg commonly uses insulin drips
- 14 days maximum time off
- Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 3 years
