Critical Care Float Pool - Travel Registered Nurse - $1940 per week.

Job Summary
Provide critical care nursing coverage across General Cardiac, CVICU, MICU, Neuro ICU, and Surgical ICU units, managing complex patients with STEMI, ECMO, and post-cardiac arrest needs. Perform duties including vent care, hemodynamic monitoring, medication titrations, arterial line management, and telemetry strip interpretation using Plum 360 IV pumps and Omnicell dispensing systems. Float to like units and ER holds as required, adhering to a 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM night shift schedule with every-other-weekend rotation and no call. Maintain Alabama licensure and complete ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience
- Alabama license or compact license
- Must be able to float to multiple units
- Must live >60 miles from facility
- 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: SimpliFi Program - Baptist Health UAB
- No current placement allowed at Program: SimpliFi Program - Baptist Health UAB
- First-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of experience
- Cerner or Epic experience
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- 2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
