Job Summary
Provide critical care float coverage in a 12-hour day shift, rotating through ICU units including Surgical, Neuro, Medicine, Cardiac, Cardiovascular, and Burn Center, with potential float to stepdown units at 1-to-3 ratios. Maintain a 1-to-1 or maximum 1-to-3 patient care ratio. This auto-offer travel assignment requires a North Carolina or compact license, 12 months of experience with 10 months in critical care float, and BLS/ACLS certifications. No call is required, with every other weekend and holiday off. Submit a clear acceptance within 24 hours to secure the 13-week contract starting September 2026.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 10 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience
- Diploma completion
- North Carolina license or compact license
- Nursing Diploma
- ADN or ASN from an accredited school of Nursing
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- Float to all ICU units based on unit needs, including Surgical, Neuro, Medicine, Cardiac, Cardiovascular, and Burn Center
- May also float to stepdown units as needed, which would involve 1 to 3 ratios
- 2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 2 years
