Job Summary
Provide 12-hour day shifts in Critical Care Float Pool, floating to all ICU units including Surgical, Neuro, Medicine, Cardiac, Cardiovascular, and Burn Center, as well as stepdown units with 1-to-3 patient ratios. Maintain 1-to-1 or maximum 1-to-3 patient care coverage. Requires 12 months of critical care experience with 10 months in the float pool, a North Carolina license, and BLS/ACLS certifications. No call schedule with every other weekend and holiday rotation. Auto-offer position with no interview; response required within 24 hours.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 10 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience
- Diploma completion
- North Carolina license or compact license
- Nursing Diploma
- ADN or ASN from an accredited school of Nursing
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- Float to all ICU units based on unit needs, including Surgical, Neuro, Medicine, Cardiac, Cardiovascular, and Burn Center
- May also float to stepdown units as needed, which would involve 1 to 3 ratios
- 2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 2 years
