Job Summary
Float to ICU, CVICU, NICU, SICU, MICU, TICU, Neuro ICU, and Burn ICU as needed for an adult patient population managing stroke, cardiac, sepsis, vascular, cardiothoracic, trauma, burn, and medical cases. Complete labs within 48 hours of signing and work weekends, holidays, and every other weekend with a maximum of five days remote time off. Requires a Louisiana or compact license, 24 months critical care float pool experience, Epic proficiency, and travel history. Auto-offer positions require a clear yes or no response within 24 hours.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience
- Travel experience
- Experience with Epic
- Louisiana license or compact license
- COVID vaccination
- Religious and medical declinations accepted
- 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - Louisiana Childrens Medical Center Health System
- No current placement allowed at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - Louisiana Childrens Medical Center Health System
- Willingness to float
- Willingness to work weekends
- Willingness to be very flexible
- Ability to complete labs within 48 hours of signing
- Every other weekend availability
- Holidays as required availability
- 5 day maximum RTO
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse)
- 2 Charge/Lead references
- Proof of identification
- Clear Yes or No response from the nurse within 24hrs to offer
