Job Summary
Provide critical care float coverage with a 1-to-1 or 1-to-3 patient ratio, rotating through ICU units including Surgical, Neuro, Medicine, Cardiac, Cardiovascular, and Burn Center, while also floating to stepdown units as needed. Maintain a 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM shift with no call, working every other weekend and every other holiday. Requires 12 months of nursing experience with 10 months in Critical Care Float Pool, a North Carolina or compact license, and BLS/ACLS certifications. This auto-offer position requires a clear response within 24 hours and includes up to 14 days of time off.
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 10 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience
- Diploma completion
- North Carolina license or compact license
- Nursing Diploma
- ADN or ASN from an accredited school of Nursing
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- Float to all ICU units based on unit needs, including Surgical, Neuro, Medicine, Cardiac, Cardiovascular, and Burn Center
- May also float to stepdown units as needed, which would involve 1 to 3 ratios
- 2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 2 years
