Job Summary
Float to all medical-surgical and critical care units, including overflow, oncology, orthopedics, neurology, and cardiac stepdown. Manage patients with arrhythmia monitoring, sedation, paralytics, titratable drips, CVP monitoring, and care for s/p craniotomy patients. Administer TPA and handle cardiac drips, lumbar drains, aquapheresis, CRRT, and intra-aortic balloon pump patients. Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM every other weekend with a 70% holiday expectation. Maintain an ACLS, CCRN, TNCC, and NIHSS certification.
Required Qualifications
- 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months
- Georgia license or compact license
- 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast
- 12 months gap required between for Part-Time at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast
- 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast
- ICU skills: arrhythmia monitoring, sedation, paralytics, titratable drips knowledge, CVP monitoring, care for s/p craniotomy patients, and TPA administration
- Knowledge of cardiac drips and care for neuro, cardiac, pulmonary, ortho, trauma, and surgical patients
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)
- TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course)
- CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- 1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
- 1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
- Proof of identification
