Critical Care Float Pool Nurse

Job Summary
Assess patient care plans, evaluate needs, and carry out physician orders. Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs. Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions using computerized documentation systems. Instruct and educate patients and families as part of a Multidisciplinary Care Planning team. When acting in charge nurse, make staff assignments based on patient need, acuity, and skill level while serving as a clinical resource. Respond timely to physician, staff, or patient issues. Requires current Tennessee RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS within six months.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse from accredited school of nursing
- Current Licensure with Tennessee Board of Nursing
- Current BLS
- ACLS within 6 months of hire
Desired Qualifications
- 2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred
