Job Summary
Critical Care Float Nurse responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care on the ICU/unit, supervising non-RN staff, and serving as Charge Nurse as needed. Role includes neuro-focused nursing skills (neuro assessment, airway management, suctioning of airway devices, care for tracheostomy patients, and care for ventilated patients) and educational duties for patients and families. Requires RN licensure (CT) with BSN preferred, 1 year Neonatal ICU experience, and BLS; involves coordinating care, implementing the plan of care, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate Of An Accredited School Of Nursing; BSN Preferred.
- Valid State Of Connecticut Registered Nurse License
- 1 Year Neonatal ICU RN experience required.
- BLS Required
- Proficient In Use Of Computer Software To Include Electronic Patient Records
- Ability To Use Internet For Literature Searches Regarding Care For Patients.
