Critical Care Float Nurse / Float RN (ICU)

Provide nursing care on Neuro and Cardiac ICUs, including Critical Care Float responsibilities. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans; supervise non-RN personnel; function as Charge Nurse and Preceptor to new staff. Deliver education to patients and families, document outcomes, and collaborate with the healthcare team to meet discharge readiness. Maintain adherence to unit policies and professional standards, with emphasis on neuro assessment, airway management, ventilator care, tracheostomy care, and specialized cardiac and neuro procedures. Roles emphasize integrity, patient-centered care, respect, accountability, and compassion as core values. Licensure in Connecticut required; BSN preferred; opportunities for professional development and advancement through the SPIRE program.
