Critical Care Float Nurse / Float RN (ICU)

Critical Care Float Nurse / Float RN (ICU) provides direct bedside nursing in the Neuro/ICU sphere, leads care planning and coordination, supervises non-RN staff, and may serve as Charge Nurse and Preceptor. Responsibilities include ongoing patient assessments, developing and documenting individualized plans of care, implementing and coordinating care with the healthcare team, evaluating outcomes and readiness for discharge, educating patients and families, and supporting staff development. Demonstrates competency in neuro care, airway management, ventilator care, tracheostomy suctioning, and procedures related to neuro patients, including Halo brace care and neuro-focused teaching. Requires BSN (preferred), CT RN license, and at least 1 year of acute nursing experience; BLS certification required.
