Job Summary
Critical Care Float Nurse / Float RN (ICU) provides bedside nursing across units under supervision, assesses physical and psychosocial conditions, plans and documents a plan of care with input from patient and family, coordinates implementation with the healthcare team, evaluates outcomes, and references educational opportunities. Responsibilities include supervision of non-RN personnel, acting as preceptor to new staff, serving as charge nurse, and delivering neuro-focused care including airway management, care for trached patients, endotracheal/suction procedures, ventilator care, and knowledge of the Tia teaching program. Requires RN licensure, BSN preferred, 1 year acute nursing experience, and BLS; performs duties in alignment with unit policies and may work across different nursing units. EEO/AA/Disability/Veteran.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate Of An Accredited School Of Nursing
- BSN Preferred
- Valid State Of Connecticut Registered Nurse License
- 1 Year Acute Nursing Experience Required
- BLS Required
- Critical Care or Emergency experience preferred
