Job Summary
Nurse in an ICU setting designated as Critical Care Float Nurse/Float RN with responsibilities including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care on a nursing unit, supervision of non-RN personnel, and taking on charge nurse duties. The role involves neuro-focused nursing skills (neuro assessment, airway management, care for ventilated and trached patients), performing procedures like pharyngeal/endotracheal/tracheostomy suctioning, and supporting educational opportunities and discharge planning. Precepting new staff, coordinating care with the healthcare team, and ensuring high-level service are key elements. BSN is preferred; CT RN license is required; BLS is required. Experience in neonatal ICU is explicitly required. Proficiency with electronic health records is noted.
Required Qualifications
- Valid State Of Connecticut Registered Nurse License
- 1 Year Neonatal ICU RN experience required
- Education: BSN preferred
- BLS Required
