Job Summary
Guide nursing students through clinical rotations by assuming complete responsibility for their safety, clarifying expectations with facility staff, and utilizing pre- and post-conferences to correlate theory with practice. Provide immediate feedback on clinical performance and assess student knowledge to ensure optimal patient care. Mentor and facilitate academic support while participating in continuous improvement plans for course curricula and assessment activities. Utilize simulation labs and online learning management systems to engage students, maintain scholarly activities, and contribute to class material improvements within a student-centered culture.
Required Qualifications
- Clinical RN
- Minimum of two (2) year's prior experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care
- Minimum of one year experience in the field in which they teach
- Master's degree in nursing
- Professional nurse licensure
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Products, especially Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and other MS office products as needed
- Working with online learning management systems
- Compliance with state, federal and local laws/regulations relating to programs, governmental compliance, and other regulatory standards such as state Board of Nursing
