Job Summary
The position involves providing healthcare in critical care settings, including surgical and medical ICUs, as a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Responsibilities include obtaining and documenting health histories, conducting physical examinations, forming differential diagnoses, treating conditions, prescribing therapeutic interventions, and collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. The role requires advanced clinical judgment, technical competence, professionalism, timely documentation, and ongoing professional development. Candidates must hold a Master’s degree and be licensed in Tennessee as a Nurse Practitioner with relevant certification.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner in Tennessee
- National certification in identified area of clinical practice
