Job Summary
Perform comprehensive assessments and monitor critically ill patients using advanced medical equipment and protocols. Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary teams while managing ventilator settings, hemodynamic support, and invasive monitoring systems. Respond promptly to medical emergencies such as cardiac arrest, sepsis, and acute organ failure following established resuscitation protocols. Document patient progress and interventions in real time using electronic health records. Provide education to junior staff, trainees, and family members on critical care procedures. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and hospital safety programs to enhance care standards while maintaining compliance with infection control and regulatory requirements. Requires MBBS with Critical Care specialization, 2+ years ICU experience, and ACLS certification. Salary ranges from ₹200,000 to ₹325,000 LPM.
Required Qualifications
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree with a specialization in Critical Care Medicine (DNB, MD, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a critical care unit (ICU or CCU) within a hospital setting
- Proven expertise in managing patients with sepsis, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), multi-organ failure, and trauma
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Critical Care Nursing (if applicable)
- Strong proficiency in using ICU equipment including ventilators, intra-aortic balloon pumps, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), and hemodynamic monitors
- Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills under pressure
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, high-stress environment with a focus on patient-centered care
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical medical standards
