CRITICAL CARE ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDER

Acute Care Advanced Practice Providers needed to work in PCCA-managed ICUs at UPMC Altoona Hospital in Altoona, PA. APPs will admit and co-manage ICU patients under intensivist supervision and perform critical care procedures including intubation, bronchoscopy, chest tubes, central lines, and arterial lines. Full-time, permanent role in a team-oriented environment with mentoring and training to develop skills. Shifts are 12 hours (7am–7pm and 7pm–7am) with every-other-week rotations, totaling 26 weeks per year; model provides 24-hour coverage across four ICUs (Medical, Surgical-Trauma, Cardiovascular, Neurovascular).
