Job Summary
CRITICAL CARE ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDER needed to join Pittsburgh Critical Care Associates and work in the ICU teams at UPMC Altoona Hospital. The APP will admit and co-manage patients across four ICUs (Medical, Surgical-Trauma, Cardiovascular, Neurovascular) under intensivist supervision, performing critical care procedures such as intubation, bronchoscopy, chest tubes, central lines, and arterial lines. The role is full-time with every-other-week coverage across a 12-hour shift cycle (days and nights; rotations Mon-Sun). Mentoring and training are provided, with a comprehensive benefits package including malpractice and health insurance, retirement contributions (401K), and CME support. Facilities include a 390-bed teaching hospital; Altoona serves as a thrombectomy-capable stroke center and Level III trauma center within the UPMC system.
Required Qualifications
- Experienced applicants preferred
- APP must admit and co-manage ICU patients
- perform critical care procedures including intubation, bronchoscopy, chest tubes, central lines and arterial lines
