Job Summary
Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider sought to join PCCA’s ICU teams at UPMC Altoona Hospital. The APP will admit and co-manage patients in four ICUs (Medical, Surgical-Trauma, Cardiovascular, Neurovascular) under intensivist supervision, perform procedures including intubation, bronchoscopy, chest tubes, central lines, and arterial lines, participate in medical decision making, and contribute to a 24-hour, 4-ICU coverage model with 12-hour shifts and alternating day/night rotations. The role emphasizes a collaborative, team-based environment with mentoring and training provided for skill development; full-time employment with comprehensive benefits is offered. Locations include Altoona, PA in the US with in-person work expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Acute Care Advanced Practice Provider
- Experience in ICU settings preferred
- Ability to perform decision making in critical care
- Ability to perform intubation, bronchoscopy, chest tubes, central lines, arterial lines
- Full-time availability
- Strong teamwork and collaboration with intensivists and multidisciplinary team
