Job Summary
ACUTE CARE ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDER needed to join Pittsburgh Critical Care Associates for ICU coverage at UPMC Altoona Hospital in Altoona, PA. APPs will admit and co-manage patients in four ICUs (Medical, Surgical-Trauma, Cardiovascular, Neurovascular) under direct supervision of intensivist physicians, perform critical care procedures (including intubation, bronchoscopy, chest tubes, central lines, arterial lines), and participate in medical decision making. Full-time, rotating day/night schedule (12-hour shifts), with mentoring and training provided. Team-oriented, collaborative environment in a private physician group with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced Practice Provider license/credential in acute care
- critical care experience preferred
- ability to perform intubation, bronchoscopy, chest tubes, central lines and arterial lines
- full-time permanent position
- mentoring and training provided as needed to develop skills
- supervision by intensivist physicians
- admit and co-manage ICU patients
- participate in medical decision making
