Job Summary
Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider in Chesapeake, VA, joining Bayview Physicians Group in their Critical Care Medicine team. Responsibilities include performing initial assessments and daily progress notes for critically ill inpatients, developing and implementing treatment plans with the attending physician, performing and assisting in critical care procedures, responding to medical emergencies such as Code Blue and Rapid Response events, and communicating care plans and prognosis to patients’ families. In-house hospitalist physician/App assistance and comprehensive benefits are offered, with a flexible schedule and rotation-based work in an inpatient setting.
Required Qualifications
- Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) with inpatient/critical care experience preferred
- Inpatient critical care setting experience desired
- Ability to perform initial assessments, daily progress notes, ongoing evaluations, and collaborate on treatment plans with attending physician
- Proficiency in critical care procedures and responding to emergencies (Code Blue, Rapid Response)
- Strong communication with patients’ families and team coordination
