Crit Care Transport Paramedic

Job Summary
Assure delivery of interhospital and intrahospital care to patients of all ages using proper techniques and standards established by the Indiana Department of Homeland Security - EMS Division and Parkview Health EMS Medical Director(s). Assist nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare providers in giving adequate care to patients in the ECC. Maintain local, state, and federal training requirements, including obtaining PHTLS, BTLS, or ITLS within one year of employment. This role requires two years of paramedic experience with an ambulance service and a valid state paramedic license. Full-time employees must attend 80% of monthly grand rounds and bi-annual critical skills labs. A sign-on bonus is available.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Meets Indiana State Paramedic guidelines
- Valid state paramedic cert/license
- Valid driver's license
- Certified BLS
- Certified ACLS
- PHTLS, BTLS or ITLS certification within one year of employment
- PALS or PEPP certification within one year of employment
- CEVO II, CEVO III or EVOC certification within 6 months of hire
- Two years experience as a paramedic with an ambulance service
- Meets insurability requirements under Parkview Health vehicle and liability insurance policies
- No driver exclusion on insurance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Meets the physical requirements of the position
- Ability to attend staff meetings as required or requested by Director Flight/EMS Services
- Ability to attend 80% of monthly grand rounds
- Ability to attend bi-annual critical skills labs
- Ability to attend bi-annual recurrent safety training
- Ability to maintain local, state and federal training requirements
