Crisis Support Specialist

Crisis Support Specialist role providing support to staff in the Crisis Unit. Responsibilities include assisting nurses with group/individual activities (setup and cleanup), documenting observations and completing paperwork, coordinating activities, participating in recreational activities with emphasis on safety for a high-risk consumer population, supporting 1:1 interactions as needed, assisting with verbal and physical interventions to ensure safety, basic cooking and cleaning for program needs, monitoring supplies and coordinating purchases, and contributing to ongoing in-service education, staff meetings, and care plans. Requires the ability to stand or sit for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and travel about 10% of the time; High School Diploma or equivalent and flexible hours preferred; experience with adults with mental illness in a community setting is a plus.
