Job Summary
The Crisis Support Advocate is responsible for promoting safety, security, and cleanliness of the shelter while providing survivor-focused crisis intervention and support. Key responsibilities include conducting intakes to assess risk, providing trauma-informed services, maintaining health standards, and documenting survivor services. Additional duties involve answering the crisis hotline, advocating for survivors, and performing clerical tasks. A Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science or two years of relevant social service experience is preferred, along with certification requirements and a valid Florida driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science preferred or two years of related social service experience
- FCADV Competency-Based Core training plus an additional 6 hours of individualized training
- Valid Florida Driver’s License with at least two years driving experience
- Ability to pass and maintain a Level II background check
- Eligibility to be sworn as a Deputy Clerk of The Circuit Court
