Job Summary
Crisis Stab Specialist responsible for providing support, crisis intervention, and counseling to individuals in crisis while monitoring clients in the Crisis Unit. Duties include facilitating the Mental Hygiene Process, conducting assessments, treatment planning, and group counseling services. Requires capability to handle high-risk calls, documentation for various agencies, and maintaining compliance with safety procedures. The role necessitates strong communication skills and teamwork in a crisis environment.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS in Human Service Field
- Valid Photo ID
- Ability to comply with Consumer’s Rights
- Ability to comply with Valley’s and Division departmental safety procedures
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language
- Possess basic computer and E-Mail skills
- Ability to document/type into an Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Excellent Communication skills to work as part of a team
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Crisis work
- Experience in Mental Health and/or Substance Use Disorder fields
- Knowledge of commitment law
- Knowledge of diverse disability populations
- Knowledge of community resources for behavioral health issues
