Job Summary
Respond on-site to crisis calls that cannot be resolved telephonically, utilizing best practices in crisis intervention to support individuals and families. Assess risk, effectively engage with clients, and develop follow-up plans for those with serious mental illness, children, adolescents, and families. Work respectfully with clients, schools, first responders, and other agencies while making appropriate referrals for long-term counseling. Stabilize clients across different ages, developmental stages, and cultural backgrounds. Requires a valid Arizona driver's license, fingerprint clearance, and specific behavioral health licensure or degree with experience.
Required Qualifications
- GED/High school diploma
- 1.5 years of behavioral health experience
- Associate's degree in the behavioral health field
- Bachelor's degree (not in the field of behavioral health)
- 1 year of behavioral health experience
- Bachelor's degree in the behavioral health field
- Masters degree, i.e., MA, MC, MSW, in a behavioral health field
- Arizona license or eligible for Arizona license
- Valid Arizona Driver License
- 21 years of age
- Minimum 4 years driving experience
- Must meet requirements of Terros driving policy
- Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card (Level 1) or apply for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card within 7 working days of employment
- Must be available for evening and overnight shifts
- Must be available for Wed - Sat 2p -12a shifts
- Must be available for Wed - Sat 4p - 2a shifts
- Must be available for Sun-Tues 4p-2a shifts
- Must be available for Thurs - Sat 10p - 8a shifts
- Must be able to assess risk
- Must be able to effectively engage with clients
- Must be able to develop plans and follow-up as needed
- Must be able to work effectively and respectfully with clients, families, schools, first responders and all others involved
- Must be able to assess and stabilize different ages and stages of development/lifespan and different cultural backgrounds and experiences
- Must be able to make appropriate referrals to other agencies and/ or long-term counseling when appropriate
- Must demonstrate flexibility and adapt well to change
Desired Qualifications
- Arizona License: LCSW, LPC, LISAC, LMSW, LAC, LASAC or LMFT, in Good Standing
- One year of experience practicing in one of the licenses listed below
- Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT)
- Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC)
- Licensed Associate Substance Abuse Counselor (LASAC)
- Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) by the Arizona State Board of Behavioral Health Examiners
- Licensed Independent Substance Abuse Counselor (LISAC) by the Arizona State Board of Behavioral Health Examiners
