Job Summary
Part-time Crisis Response Specialist to evaluate consumers and determine need for additional psychological/clinical services, activate on-call Master’s Level Clinician when needed, and perform culturally competent, trauma-informed crisis assessment with de-escalation and suicide-safety planning. Works in 2-person teams with a Peer Support Specialist to provide assessment, risk assessment, safety planning, linkage to services, and follow-up care for adults in crisis through the 988 Program’s mobile outreach in NJ; requires a Bachelor’s degree in a mental health field (or any field with substantial mental health experience) and valid driver’s license, with specific shifts and benefits outlined.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in mental health field from an accredited institution plus two years post Bachelor's professional experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in any field from an accredited institution with three years’ post Bachelor’s professional experience in mental health field
- Valid driver's license in good standing with no recent suspensions or violations of careless/reckless driving and no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years
