Job Summary
Respond in a timely manner to all requests for crisis intervention, triage phone calls based on needs and preliminary risk assessments, and provide comprehensive crisis counseling and safety planning for clients. Support and guide Aspire staff and community stakeholders in inpatient psychiatric admissions during behavioral health emergencies, facilitating orders for emergency detention and immediate detention. Coordinate Mobile Crisis Team interventions and maintain working relationships with first responders, dispatchers, and hospitals. Services are delivered via video conference, telephone, or in-person. Full-time and part-time options available.
Required Qualifications
- Must live in Indiana
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years of related experience
- Drug screen
- TB test
- Extensive background checks (including Criminal History, Sex Offender Registry Search, State Central Registry Check, Education Verification, and Professional References)
Desired Qualifications
- Passion for working with clients, community partners, and first responders to assist with de-escalating crisis situations
- Thrive by problem solving in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility in providing crisis services via video conference, telephonically, and in-person in the community
- Behavioral health and/or crisis experience
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Community Health/Public Health or related field from a college/university accredited by the U.S Department of Education
- Knowledge of community resources, referral processes and risk assessments
- Flu shot
- Fully vaccinated against COVID19
