Crisis Responder / Qualified Professional / Mobile Crisis

Provide crisis response services to individuals in crisis across community settings (e.g., community, doctor's offices, schools, provider offices) as part of Mobile Crisis Management. Roles include facilitating relationships between clients, families, agencies and the community; reducing psychiatric symptoms or substance dependence impact; delivering supportive counseling and skill-building (daily living, socialization, adaptation, and behavior/anger management); participating in a 24/7/365 first-responder on-call system; performing case management to link services and referrals; collaborating with clinical staff to standardize procedures and expedite PCP implementation; monitoring service utilization for effectiveness and appropriateness. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (not in Human Services) with 4+ years of relevant full-time experience (or a related Bachelor’s in Human Services with 2+ years, or a Master’s or higher with 1+ year), plus professional licensure or certification as required by the governing board. The work is on-call and not office-based, with 40 hours guaranteed per week and shifts from 9am to 1am, rotating across weeks and weekends within Henderson, Polk, or Transylvania counties (NC). The team supports individuals with mental health and/or substance use needs across ages and disabilities, aiming to prevent inpatient hospitalization and coordinate care with local agencies and families.
