Job Summary
Family Responder position providing crisis assessment and stabilization services for youth and families in homes, hospitals, schools, and community settings. Responsibilities include assessing needs, developing access plans to medical, social, and educational services, coordinating resources and referrals, maintaining culturally responsive care, and delivering high-touch, timely crisis support under clinical supervision. Services may occur in-home, in the community, or office-based, with scheduling that includes weekends approximately once a month and a typical 9am–11pm window. The role emphasizes trauma-informed care, collaboration across youth services, and comprehensive documentation to promote family stability and well-being.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or other Human Service field
- 1+ years’ experience in crisis assessment and de-escalation, behavioral intervention, and/ or direct work with youth and families
- Valid driver’s license and car insurance
- Ability to build strong relationships with diverse individuals or communities
- Open to meeting cultural needs of individuals or communities (language, traditions, values)
- Must successfully pass a DHS criminal background check
