Job Summary
Join the Mobile Outreach Program as a Crisis Intervention Specialist, providing direct service and immediate intervention in mental health crises for adults, children, and families. Develop collaborative action steps, engage in de-escalation, and assess needs through in-person, phone, or electronic means. Responsibilities include maintaining continuity of care, participating in staff meetings, and employing trauma-informed care techniques. An Associate's degree is required, along with relevant experience in behavioral health or human services. Technical proficiency and strong communication skills are essential. Full-time position requires flexibility with hours including evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher
- Proficiency with technology
- Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check
- Driver’s license and a vehicle
- No experience necessary - full training provided
- Two years of relevant experience in a behavioral health or human services setting
- Technical literacy
- Solid oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Flexible schedule
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, human development, social sciences, Health/Human Services, Social Work, or Law Enforcement
- MHRT/CSP certification or the ability to obtain within 30 days of employment
- Knowledge of DSM-V
- Critical thinking skills
- Demonstrated computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, E-mail, and the Internet
Additional Requirements
- Must demonstrate ability to work across differing systems
- Must not be on the state or federal suspension and disbarment list
