Job Summary
Provide information about IDD programs and services to individuals, families, and providers in the local service area. Consult with the mobile crisis outreach team (MCOT) as needed to develop criteria for crisis respite referrals and create crisis respite plans tailored to unique needs. Collaborate with individual teams, service coordinators, and residential providers to establish prevention strategies, training needs, and relapse prevention strategies for severe behavior disturbances. Monitor the watch list of dually diagnosed individuals and assist with transition support, addressing concerns identified during follow-up and monitoring visits. Work in a rapid-paced environment while rotating on-call duties for crisis calls and completing mandatory online training.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of a master's in psychology and/or social work
- At least 2 years of experience working in the stated field with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and mental and behavioral support needs
- Must have excellent verbal, interviewing and writing skills
- Ability to learn and understand a variety of management information systems
- Ability to develop plans to implement and monitor behavior management
- Must have an extensive knowledge in crisis management and prevention
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Valid Texas Driver's License required and reliable transportation
- Must not have more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years
- Must be insurable and remain insurable on Center's insurance
- Must meet one of three qualifications: licensed psychologist; licensed psychological associate; licensed clinical social worker; licensed professional counselor; board certified behavioral analyst; be an LMSW who is supervised in accordance with the rules of the social work licensing board; or be a licensure applicant with a temporary social work license as long as the applicant is fully within 6 months after hired and be supervised with the rules of the social work licensing board (supervisi...

- Will have a center issued cell phone and rotate being on-call for crisis calls
