Job Summary
CRISIS INTERVENTION SPECIALIST providing health, safety and personal care for students; delivering behavioral support; collaborating with Behavior Therapists and an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement therapeutic goals and programs; maintaining crisis-intervention certifications; contributing to data-driven monitoring of student progress; assisting with data entry and fidelity checks of Behavior Intervention Plans; supporting the implementation of evidence-based practices across programs; and assisting classrooms during behavioral crisis situations including emergency physical interventions. Requires a High School Diploma/GED, at least 1 year of related experience with students with developmental delays, and English proficiency. 35 hours/week, Monday–Friday day shift ( Rochester, NY).
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent
- At least 1 year of related experience and/or training with students with developmental delays or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English including interpreting documents such as safety rules and policy and procedure manuals
