Job Summary
Screen, assess, and link services for members and families to overcome crises under direct supervision. Provide primary support and case management within a recovery-oriented, home-like environment at the Merrill Center Crisis Stabilization Unit in Fontana, CA. Utilize a multi-disciplinary team approach to soothe individuals and connect them with resources to avoid locked settings. Maintain current CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute, and First Aid certifications while driving clients to appointments and groups using either company or personal vehicles.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduation or G.E.D. equivalent
- three (3) years of direct services in mental health or community services
- Associate's degree
- two (2) years of experience
- Bachelor's degree in Social Services
- at least 1 year of direct service experience with Crisis Intervention
- screening
- assessments
- Sensitivity to multi-cultural populations and issues
- at least 18 years of age
- CPR certified
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certified
- First Aid certified
- current certification throughout employment
- successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination
- 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis
- acceptable criminal background clearances
- excluded party sanctions
- degree or license verification
- Valid and current driver's license
- personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver
- Willingness to use the company vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc.
- Willingness to use your personal vehicle to attend meetings, etc.
