Crisis Intervention Counselor - Weekends - Remote for residents in the Greater Louisville area.

Provide crisis and suicide intervention counseling over the telephone to callers needing emergency assistance, identifying appropriate organizations and monitoring caller status through case follow-up. Document and maintain accurate records of all telephone interventions, review daily log-sheets and client files, and supervise a staff of telephone counselors and volunteers to ensure quality assistance and accurate documentation. Deliver crisis intervention and suicide prevention training to other counselors, volunteers, service providers, and community groups as requested, while attending staff meetings to share procedural information. Additionally, provide crisis intervention to community groups traumatized by suicide when assigned. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent training and experience, with a 16-hour weekend schedule.
