Job Summary
The Crisis Intake and Referral Specialist processes behavioral health referrals for admission to St. Luke's University Health Network. Responsibilities include reviewing intake referrals, making unit placement recommendations, coordinating admissions with crisis teams, verifying insurance authorizations, and ensuring compliance with mental health regulations. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services field, have at least 3 years of relevant experience, and demonstrate strong interpersonal and computer skills.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services field
- 3 years of direct clinical mental health/crisis intervention experience
- Previous experience with case management/utilization review and managed care models
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills (EPIC, Word, Excel, Outlook)
