Job Summary
Direct Support Professionals provide support and supervision to individuals who have developmental, mental health, or physical disabilities. Responsibilities include establishing and maintaining community relationships and friendships; assisting individuals with daily routines including household tasks, cooking and eating, self-care, socializing, leisure activities, health and safety, money management, and behavior management; administering medications; providing transportation; and documenting services and events through an online computer program. The role requires 18+ years old, preferred high school diploma, at least one year of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license, access to an insured vehicle with a clean driving record, and the ability to pass a DHS background study; basic computer skills are needed. Working conditions include flexible hours with split shifts, travel to various community sites, and potential exposure to hostile individuals or infectious environments. The position is non-exempt and reports to the House Supervisor; Equal Opportunity and E-Verify employer. Required Qualifications
- Be 18 years or older
- High school diploma preferred
- One year of experience delivering services to individuals with disabilities
