Job Summary
Crisis Clinician/LCSW provides psycho-social assessments and consultations to adult, adolescent and child patients in the Emergency Department and Inpatient Behavioral Health. Performs assessments, supports patients and families, advocates for appropriate care, evaluates patient safety, and facilitates referrals for treatment. Works with the integrated clinical team to ensure safe discharge planning and effective communication among patients, families, and healthcare providers; demonstrates problem solving, conflict resolution, and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- MSW degree from an accredited School of Social Work or Behavioral Health Field required
- CT licensure in appropriate professional designation required (Clinical Social Worker, Psychologist, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Professional Counselor)
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Knowledge of community resources
- Social work theory and practice
