Job Summary

Performs a variety of criminal justice duties related to the monitoring and control of adult offenders in residential and non-residential Community Corrections Programs. Provides crisis intervention and redirects behavior using behavior modification techniques and skills. Monitors a residential community corrections facility, 24 hours per day, ensuring safety and security; conducts interviews, writes detailed reports, and may testify in court. Conducts home and employment visits, administers drug and alcohol testing, uses electronic monitoring (GPS), and coordinates with law enforcement. May supervise clients in community settings, perform security rounds, and deliver cognitive problem-solving instruction. Requires standing, sitting, lifting up to 60 pounds, irregular hours including swing and graveyard shifts; background check and background-related requirements apply; CPR and First Aid certifications can be obtained after hire; CPI certification can be obtained after hire.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent supplemented by training programs in the area of assignment
  • Valid Colorado Driver’s License
