Job Summary
Entry-level Employment and Resource Navigator role focused on helping clients integrate into the workforce by assessing job readiness, developing individualized employment plans (IEP), monitoring progress, and linking clients to needed resources. Responsibilities include conducting job readiness assessments, creating IEPs, delivering job-search support (resume reviews, mock interviews), supervising client activities, maintaining case files, entering data into electronic systems, coordinating with case managers, and assisting with resource referrals and court-related activities. Requires strong communication, motivational interviewing, data-entry accuracy, and adherence to program policies; training and meetings are regular, with travel to court/jail sites as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years experience in job placement with adults with barriers to employment; recruiting, job development and placement; and/or counseling, social work, law enforcement, corrections or community supervision.
- Demonstrated experience in applying Motivational Interviewing skills and techniques.
- Strong coaching and counseling skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with a variety of constituents, and to present in a group setting.
- Ability to complete assessments and develop case plans.
- Ability to enter data, generate reports and create communications from variety of software programs and databases.
- Ability to remain calm and de-escalate stressful situations.
- Knowledge of the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and appropriate techniques and practices for the client population.
- Ability to interact effectively as a team member and independently with Company staff, stakeholders, and with diverse client base.
- Must pass background check and be granted access to state criminal databases.
