Job Summary
Entry-level Community Corrections Specialist needed to supervise and monitor clients in residential/nonresidential settings, enforce facility rules, conduct rounds and headcounts, perform urinalysis and breathalyzer tests, transport clients in company van, prepare incident and disciplinary reports, maintain logs, and provide customer service to visitors while upholding safety and program policies. Responsibilities include educating clients on facility policies, documenting observations accurately, coordinating with staff and outside referral sources, and responding to emergencies. Requires basic computer skills, effective communication, de-escalation ability, and a strong commitment to professional conduct and confidentiality. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years customer service and/or security experience
- Basic computer skills to enter data and generate reports
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to remain calm and deescalate crises
- Knowledge of cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of client population
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently with diverse client base
- Must pass background check and access state criminal databases
- Ability to walk multi-floor building quickly
- Ability to lift and move furnishings and up to 25 lbs
