Job Summary
Criminal Field Researcher responsibilities include researching public records to determine whether an applicant has criminal or civil records, entering results into proprietary systems, and providing clear or information-found results. You’ll build relationships with court personnel, perform searches of public records indexes, maintain accuracy and adhere to quality/turnaround standards, act as a back-up for other field researchers, and communicate issues to supervisors. The role requires completing introductory training, working during courthouse hours, and possessing strong attention to detail and data-entry skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Type at least 35 words per minute
- Thrive in a collaborative team environment
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Daily access to reliable transportation, computer, and high-speed internet
- Be available to work during normal courthouse hours and willing to work overtime with prior notice
- Must pass a comprehensive background check
