Job Summary
Associate Criminal Defense Attorney to manage a full criminal defense caseload, from intake through resolution, including court appearances, motions, trials, and post-trial proceedings. Responsibilities include case management, legal writing and research, investigation, and maintaining regular client communications. Must collaborate with firm leadership, mentor paralegals, and contribute to a positive team culture. Requires active Arizona license, JD from ABA-accredited school, and at least 1 year of criminal law experience. Location is Yuma, AZ with relocation bonus offered; compensation ranges from $120,000–$160,000 annually and includes employer-paid health benefits, 401(k) with match, and PTO. Exempt position with no overtime. Minimum two writing samples and successful background/fingerprint checks required.
Required Qualifications
- Active Arizona law license in good standing
- Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school
- Minimum 1 year of criminal law experience (defense and/or prosecution)
- Valid Arizona driver’s license
- Professional appearance and strong client-facing demeanor
