Job Summary
Entry-Level Criminal Defense Attorney position at a premier Los Angeles law firm. Responsibilities include advising clients on legal rights, attending pretrial hearings, managing court appearances and trials, drafting motions, interviewing witnesses, conducting legal research, analyzing case outcomes, gathering evidence, preparing clients for depositions, and collaborating with the Criminal Defense Team of Attorneys and legal assistants. Requires Juris Doctorate, active bar admission (or awaiting admission), and demonstrated interest in criminal defense through clinics, volunteering, or internships. Strong client interaction, case management skills, and the ability to move cases forward are essential. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred. Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate degree
- Active bar admission (law graduates awaiting admission will also be considered)
- Demonstrated interest in Criminal Defense law from Law School clinics, volunteer work, or internship experience
- A team player who is open to helping, strategizing, and working with your fellow associates
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required
- Interpersonal skills of the highest caliber
- Record of moving legal cases forward and an ability to manage a caseload
- Experience with Case Management Software is preferred
